The MINDSET project was a partnership between researchers, healthcare providers, and interpreting professionals to develop training for interpreters in dementia and cognitive assessments. The project co-designed the training with key stakeholders, conducted a randomised control trial to measure the training’s efficacy, and rolled the training out across Australia for free and reached about 2000 interpreters. The goal of the project was to make the training available to every interpreter in Australia as part of the NAATI accreditation and professional development program.
